Leadership
This year I had the honour of being selected as the 2024 CCSC College Captain. This role has been a defining experience in my academic journey, allowing me to develop crucial leadership skills and contribute meaningfully to my school community. As Captain, I've had many amazing opportunities. From addressing the outgoing graduates of 2023, running the 2024 ANZAC service, to taking part in the NSW parliament schools leadership day where we got to collaborate with other school captains from around NSW.
I believe that as school captain, I have the responsibility of serving as a voice for all students in the college, ensuring that any students concerns are heard and addressed. By actively engaging and understanding any concerns or ideas expressed by my peers, which then helps create positive changes within our school community.
An example of this advocacy in action was addressing the facility shortage when it came to showers before class. After hearing many concerns from female students in our academy groups, I took the initiative to bring this issue to the attention of the school leadership. Communicating with the heads of the school to develop and implement a resolution, ensuring better facilities for the school.

Max Potential 2023
In 2023, I received an amazing opportunity to take part in the Max Potential Leadership on a full scholarship. This journey helped me build new skills and gain invaluable experiences that have shaped my personal growth.
My Experience
Throughout the program I was able to focus and develop on my:
-
Leadership abilities
-
Communication Skills
-
Goal-setting Techniques
-
Time Management Skills
-
Community Engagement
The program introduced me to the MAXI principles.
Making things happen, Achieve personal significance, X out the negatives, and Internalise right principles.
From working with my personal coach, Michelle, to creating my own community service pitch, the Max Potential program challenged me to get out of my comfort zone and discover my true potential. Meeting and collaborating with other young adults from around the Central Coast was an unforgettable experience.

Personal Expression Film
My personal expression film was a reflection on the program. Talking about the MAXI principles, smashing goals, big dreams and feeling empowered as young leaders.
Community Service Pitch
During the last 3 months of the program, I had the empowering experience of being able to address an issue in our own Central Coast community and propose my own creative solution.

Working in a dental practice as a dental assistant, I knew that affordable dental health care was an ongoing problem, not just within the Central Coast, but across the whole of Australia. It was (and still is) something that I knew needed to change.
